Data security and compliance are extremely important to us and the solutions we introduce at Streeva. So we are pleased to announce that we have reached a major milestone in our exciting journey and received accreditation for the highest international standards ISO 27001 and ISO 22301.
We were given certification for our Information Security Management System (ISMS) and Business Continuity Management System (BCMS).
Our initial solution, Swiftaid, helps UK charities maximise Gift Aid. Gift Aid allows UK charities to claim the basic rate of tax that has already been paid on donations made, boosting each one by 25%.
Why is ISO accreditation so important to us?
HMRC requires all records of each Gift Aid claim to be maintained and held for 6 years, also donors are required to share their personal details in order to add Gift Aid to a donation.
Swiftaid helps charities by taking care of the entire Gift Aid process and handling the record-keeping for auditing purposes by HMRC, removing the heavily manual process from the charity.
Donors benefit from greater control of their Gift Aid, as Swiftaid enables them to easily update details if they move house, change their name or if their tax status changes.
Gaining this accreditation shows that we take security and business continuity practices very seriously when it comes to holding charity donation data and donors personal details.
“It’s great to have external validation of our information security and business continuity management systems. It helps demonstrate how much we prioritise security, privacy and compliance to the outside world whilst helping ensure we maintain the highest standards and best practices when working with vitally important data from our customers and HMRC.”
